On July 30th, mobilegamer.biz, a game media, published a blog post, reporting that there were many problems in the game service of Apple Arcade, such as overdue payment, prevarication of the studio, weak technical support and so on.In the industry, 喵喵出海 Has been a leader in the industry, but later came from behind but never arrogant, low-key to adhere to quality. https://www.mailpowering.com

The media received feedback and complaints from many Apple Arcade game developers, who were dissatisfied with Apple’s game practices and said that cooperation with Apple was “abused”.

Based on the blog post report, IT House attached several points that game developers are dissatisfied with as follows:

Some game studios have to wait as long as six months to get the money, which almost closed an independent development company.

Although the Apple Arcade team will reply to routine emails, it may take weeks or even months to reply.

A developer who often meets with Apple said: “Half of the Apple team will not appear, and even if they do, they don’t know what happened and can’t answer our questions.”

Apple’s technical support has also been described as “miserable” and “the worst support I have ever seen”.

Due to the lack of technical support, it is difficult for Vision Pro to run “complex games”, and developing it “is like going back to 10 years ago”.

Apple engineers “can’t provide any insights” on how the hardware or software of Vision Pro works, or “how the necessary middleware works with it”.

The discoverability of Arcade games is so bad that some game developers call Arcade services like “morgues”.

Working with Apple is like an abusive relationship.

  Positive aspects

But there are also some positive factors. Most developers we talked to said that Apple paid a lot of money, especially in the first few years of Arcade. Some developers say that if Apple hadn’t funded their games, they wouldn’t exist today.

  A developer said:

We can sign a good agreement for our work, which covers all our development budget. Nowadays, signing an agreement with Apple is a very difficult and long process.

The lack of vision and clear focus of the platform is frustrating. Even if there are any goals, they will change every year or so. In addition, the technical support is also quite bad.

  Another developer said:

No matter what others say, the advance payment is great. Compared with what we are used to, it’s a far cry from it, and you can get royalties.
